Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" of tiny words in white on Misty Moonlight background design from 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/2" of white dots on Cinnamon Cider background design from 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 7/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 3" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Nothing's Better Than Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the outline with chocolate chips cookie image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block B. Ink up the interior ONLY (chocolate chips and speckles) of the stamp using the brush tip of the Early Espresso Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the Cinnamon Cider card front so some of the image goes off the bottom and left edges. Re-ink the stamp with the marker and stamp again just to the right of the previous image so some of the image goes off the bottom edge of the card. Re-ink the stamp with the marker and stamp again just above the first image so some of the image goes off the left edge of the card. Leave the stamp on the block.
Repeat the step above but this time stamp in the upper right corner of the card front. Leave the stamp on the block when done.
Re-ink the outline with chocolate chips cookie image using the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the 1-1/2" x 3" strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Remember to re-ink the stamp before stamping the second image. Leave space between the images to cut them out with the die in a later step.
Mount the solid interior of the cookie image on Block B. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the two previously stamped outline cookie images on the strip of vanilla cardstock. Remember to re-ink the stamp before stamping the second image.
Use the brush tip of the Cinnamon Cider Marker to color in any white space inside the cookie images if desired.
Cut the 3-1/2" square of Cinnamon Cider into angled strips using the Paper Trimmer. The strips will be 3-1/2" long and can be any width you want them to be. Just keep one side of the strips straight and angle the other side. Alternate which way they are angling. Cut until you have at least 3 angled strips of Cinnamon Cider cardstock.
Cut an angled strip from the 2" x 3-1/2" Very Vanilla and designer paper pieces using the Paper Trimmer. The strips will be 3-1/2" long and can be any width you want them to be. Just keep one side of the strips straight and angle the other side. Cut one angled strip of Very Vanilla and one each of the two colors of designer paper.
Place the 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Early Espresso Cardstock on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Using the silicone craft sheet will make it easy to pull up the finished piece of layered cardstock without having to worry about adhesive sticking to your work surface.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the angled strips of cardstock and designer paper on the Early Espresso rectangle alternating the colors as shown. Make sure a small amount of Early Espresso shows through between each strip. Make sure the words on the Misty Moonlight strip are right side up. The Cinnamon Cider strips on the left and right edges will most likely hang over the left and right edges of the Early Espresso rectangle a bit. Make sure the top and bottom edges of each strip hang over the top and bottom edges of the Early Espresso rectangle a bit.
When you are happy with the pattern of strips, adhere them in place one at a time using Stampin' Seal. Remember to leave a tiny bit of Early Espresso showing through between each strip.
Peel the layered Early Espresso/strips piece up from the Silicone Craft Sheet. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess strips hanging over the edges of the Early Espresso rectangle.
Adhere the trimmed, layered Early Espresso/strips piece to the 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" Early Espresso rectangle.
Adhere the layered strips rectangle to the front of the stamped Cinnamon Cider card.
Mount the "because adulting is hard" sentiment from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Misty Moonlight Cardstock.
Pick out the long, skinny banner die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is in the lower right corner of the layered strips rectangle.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets strip. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets strip to one side of the small Early Espresso strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the "cookies" die from the Love You More Than Dies. Put it on top of the Early Espresso strip on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the Early Espresso (dark brown) side is facing up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the back of the word "cookies" cut out. Adhere the word to the card front so it is just above the sentiment banner cut out and the "co" stick off to the left side.
Pick out the cookie die from the Love You More Than Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped and colored cookie images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the cookie. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other cookie image.
Adhere one of the cookie images to the front of the card using Stampin' Seal so it is just to the left of the word "cookies" cut out and the bite taken from the cookie is pointing up on the right side.
Adhere the other cookie cut out to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals so it overlaps the top of the previous cookie cut out and covers the bitten area. The bitten area of this cookie should be near the bottom right side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 Cinnamon Cider dot from a sheet of 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front as the dot for the "i" in the word "cookies" cut out.
