Chalkyscards, this card uses shading and masking to create a moonlit wilderness scene.
Project Recipe
Start with a mint macaron card base- 8.5" x 5.5" scored at 4.25". Cut a piece of mint macaron designer series paper at 5.25" x 4" and three pieces of early espresso cardstock 0.5" x 3.75". Cut a piece of mint macaron 4.75" x 2.5".
Die-cut or punch a 1.25" circle out of the sticky part of a sticky note and place it on the upper right corner of the 2.5" x 4.75" mint macaron card stock.
Using black archival ink, stamp the tree image in the bottom right corner of the mint macaron cardstock. Stamp the grass image along the bottom of the cardstock. Stamp the mountain image about midway up the cardstock.
Using tip top taupe ink and a stamping sponge, shade in the "sky" and "water" areas at the top and bottom of the cardstock. Using early espresso ink and a stamping sponge, shade in the mountain and grass images. Remove the sticky note.
Use a white gel pen to highlight the right side of the stamped images.
Stamp a sentiment of your choosing in early espresso ink in the interior of your card base. Assemble your card as shown.
