P retty card using Stampin' Up! products that can easily be adapted for most occasions by switching the sentiment.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" of Garden Green toile design with animals and trees and bushes from Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of Garden Green Cardstock at least 2" long
Insert the Crumb Cake rectangle into the Woodland Embossing Folder so the trees are vertical on the vertical cardstock. Run the folder with the cardstock inside through your die cutting and embossing tool.
If you haven't already done so, squeeze some Whisper White Craft Ink Refill onto the Uninked Craft Stampin' Pad.
Lightly rub the open Whisper White Craft Ink Pad across the raised surface on the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle. Set aside to allow to dry.
Tip: Be careful not to get craft ink on your clothes, it is permanent!
Mount the bunny image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla rectangle about 5/8" from the bottom. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the bunny image Block C with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on a Post-It Note near the sticky edge.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the bunny image on the Post-It Note along the inside edge of the outer lines. You are creating a mask.
Adhere the cut out Post-It Note bunny mask to the bunny image stamped on the vanilla rectangle.
Mount the set of 2 dry bushes image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the left of the bunny on the vanilla rectangle so it overlaps the left side of the bunny mask and goes off the left edge a bit.
Mount the line of dry grass image from the Nature's Beauty Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of the bunny on the vanilla rectangle so it overlaps the right side of the bunny mask and goes off the right edge a bit.
Remove the mask.
Tip: Keep the mask in the stamp case with the stamps to use on future projects.
Adhere the stamped vanilla rectangle to the center of the slightly tilted Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper rectangle.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the large Garden Green rectangle so it is slightly tilted.
If the craft ink on the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle is dry, adhere the rectangle to the front of the Very Vanilla Thick card. You can speed up drying if needed, using a Heat Tool.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim.
Lay the trim across the matted bunny image just below the bunny. Flip the matted pieces over and adhere the ends of the trim in place with small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Garden Green rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card on the lower right side so the vanilla bunny rectangle is straight.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Garden Green Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the sentiment.
Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment cut out to the card front so it overlaps the upper left side of the matted bunny image.
Pick out a silver, single leaf Leaves Trinket. Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick tool to smoosh the front of the leaf trinket into the White Craft Ink Pad and then dip it in the container of White Stampin' Emboss Powder.
Carefully remove the leaf trinket from the Take Your Pick tool trying not to dislodge the embossing powder. Place it embossing powder side up on a heat resistant surface. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to hold the leaf trinket in place. Use the Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder until it is smooth and shiny. Allow the trinket to cool before picking it up.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the embossed leaf trinket to the front of the card so the stem of the trinket is tucked under the right side of the linen trim and the leaf points down to the lower right corner of the card.
Cut 9" of Linen Thread.
Fold the thread into thirds.
Tie the folded thread around the linen trim just above the leaf trinket using a half knot. Trim the ends.
