C hristmas card using Stampin' Up! products and the eclipse technique.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Mount the holly sprig image from the Musical Season Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it about 1" up from the bottom and 3/4" in from the left edge of the Whisper White layer. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just above the first sprig at a slightly more upword angle and slightly to the right. Re-ink again and stamp one last time at a straighter angle just to the right.
Use the Pear Pizzazz Marker to color in all the leaves.
Use the Real Red Marker to color in all the berries.
Pick out the "J", the "O", and the "Y" framelits from the Large Letters Framelits. Place the stamped Whisper White rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the letter framelits on top so they are all lined up and spell "JOY" and the "J" is about 1/4" from the left side and the "Y" is about 1-1/4" in from the right side. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep all pieces!
Adhere the large white piece to the Real Red rectangle using SNAIL.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the letters in place in their respective spaces.
Use SNAIL to adhere the center of the "O" in place so it is flat. Fit it carefully into place.
Cut a 6" piece of Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the white/red layers so it is just below the letters. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layers. Adhere the layers to the front of the Old Olive card.
Mount the lute image from the Musical Season Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake rectangle.
Pick out the matching lute framelit from the Musical Instruments Framelits. Place the stamped lute image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the lute framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the lute to the card front so it overlaps the bottom of the "Y" a bit and angles to the right slightly.
Cut another 3" piece of Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon. Tie it to the ribbon on the card front just to the right of the lute using a half knot. Trim the ends.
