Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pacific Point Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one long edge of the Pool Party rectangle into the punch so the bottom of the punching area is about 3/4" in from the bottom of the cardstock and the left edge of the punching area is about 5/8" in from the left edge. Punch. Slide the cardstock over so the right edge of the punching area is about 5/8" from the right edge of the cardstock and the bottom of the punching area is lined up with bottom of the previously punched area. Punch again.
As you are ready to stamp using the Moving Along Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the railroad track image from the Moving Along Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the Pool Party rectangle so it goes off the left edge of the cardstock and the left edge of the punched area. Re-ink the image with the Basic Gray Ink Pad and stamp it again on the right side of the Pool Party rectangle so it goes off the right edge of the cardstock and the right edge of the punched area.
Mount the outline helicopter image from the Moving Along Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it near the top of the Pool Party rectangle on the right side. Make sure to leave room for the banner.
Mount the banner image from the Moving Along Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the left of the previously stamped helicopter image.
Mount the solid helicopter blades image from the Moving Along Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the outline blades on the previously stamped outline helicopter image.
Mount the solid helicopter body image from the Moving Along Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pacific Poin Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline helicopter image.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Moving Along Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped banner image.
Mount the tiny flying bird with more curved wings image from the Moving Along Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it at a slight angle above the banner on the left side. Re-ink the stamp with Pacific Point Ink and stamp it again at a slightly different angle just below the banner on the right side.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this stamp. It is so tiny that it can pop off the block easily and go flying. Since it is so small and is clear, it can be very difficult to find.
Mount the tiny flying bird with less curved wings image from the Moving Along Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it at a slight angle near the end of the banner on the bottom edge.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this stamp. It is so tiny that it can pop off the block easily and go flying. Since it is so small and is clear, it can be very difficult to find.
Mount the outline train engine image from the Moving Along Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it near the right side of the white rectangle in the center.
Mount the outline train car image from the Moving Along Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Ink Pad. Stamp it just behind the previously stamped train engine image so they appear to be connected and the wheels are even.
Mount the solid train engine image from the Moving Along Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline train engine image.
Mount the solid train car image from the Moving Along Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline train car image.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the train engine and car images leaving them connected.
Cut an 11" piece of the Old Olive ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.
Put a tiny piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the center of the back of the train cut out. Remove the protective backing. Lay the ribbon horizontally across the back of the train cut out so it adheres to the Tear & Tape and the front of the train engine (left edge) is about 4-1/2" from the left end of the ribbon.
Carefully place 3 Stampin' Dimensionals over the ribbon on the back of the train cut out. VERY IMPORTANT - LEAVE THE PROTECTIVE BACKINGS IN PLACE!
Lay the train image face up on top of the stamped and punched Pool Party rectangle so the train is in the center of the punched area. Tuck the ends of the ribbon under the left and right edges of the Pool Party rectangle between the ends of the punched area and the edges of the cardstock.
Use Stampin' Seal+ to put adhesive on the back of the Pool Party rectangle making sure not to get too close to the ribbon or the punched out area.
Adhere the Pool Party rectangle to the Old Olive rectangle. Make sure the ends of the ribbon are tucked between the Pool Party and Old Olive layers and stick out to the left and right sides.
Put Stampin' Seal+ on the back of the Old Olive rectangle. Adhere the Old Olive rectangle to the front of the Pacific Point card.
Gently pull on the ribbon on the right side of the card to move the train forward. Gently pull on the ribbon on the left side of the card to move the train backward. Trim the ends of the ribbon at angles if you wish, but make sure to leave plenty of ribbon on either side so the train can be pulled back and forth.
