Coordinating patterned paper strip 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"

Die Cuts for embellishing
Corner rounder punch (optional)
Bottom of Box Assembly:
Cut along sides of small square on each side of cardstock and miter slightly.
Burnish all score lines with bone folder.
Place adhesive on small square flaps and adhere to side panels (on one side) to create back of box and bottom. (top will be open)
Place adhesive on other side panels (front of box) flip up, and adhere these to the back of box, creating a full box with open top.
Top of box / front flap:
Burnish score lines with bone folder.
If using corner rounder punch, round edges on one end of cardstock (6" side)
Adhere the back end of the flap (un-rounded corners) to the back of the box, lining up the open-end of the box with the 4 1/2" score line.
The flap with rounded edge should flip over to cover the open end of the box and come down to create the front of the box.
Begin decorating your box by adhering cardstock mat to the front flap (round corners to fit if you rounded flap edges).
Adhere patterned paper strip to mat.
Finish up by creating ribbon closure:
Place ribbon around box and create bow closure oriented to one side.
Stamp and adhere sentiment label.
Embellish with die-cut images of choice.
I also created a version of this box with the Sweet Songbirds stamp set from Stampin' Up!
