E legant Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paperpieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of white lattice work on red background design from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 3-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Old Olive rectangle into the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Use the thin line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line up the paper and get it straight. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the strip of Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper to the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle so the paper is about 1/4" from the top edge.
Adhere the Old Olive/designer paper rectangle to the front of the Real Red card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "May the Beauty of the Season..." sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 3-1/4" long. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so the sentiment is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount one of the small holly leaf swirls images from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the open space on the lower left side of the sentiment oval.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 3-1/2" long. Place the Real Red rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment oval to the scalloped oval.
Adhere the matted oval sentiment to the card front on the right side so it is half way across the bottom of the designer paper strip.
Carefully peel up 3 rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a tight bunch at the end of the stamped holly leaf swirl image.
Cut an 8" piece of the Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card on the lower left side of the matted sentiment oval.
