P retty Valentine or anniversary card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, Foil Sheets, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Gray Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 4-1/4" x 3" of Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets from Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets
- 4-1/8" x 2-7/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Mount the "Just for You" sentiment from the Meant To Be Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the white rectangle.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to the white side of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet piece. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Lovely Lipstick Foil facing up).
Pick out the grouping of small open hearts thinlit from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Place it on top of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet on the Big Shot so it goes across the very top (on a 4-1/4" edge) at a slight angle so it is slightly higher on the right side than on the left. Place a piece of scratch paper on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces. Keep ALL the pieces!
Tip: Placing a piece of scratch paper on top of the foil and thinlit will help protect the foil so it doesn't pick up any scratches from the Cutting Pad.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess foil on the left and right top where the hearts were cut out. Peel the protective backing off of the large bottom piece of Foil Sheet that was uncut. Adhere it to the bottom of the stamped white rectangle so the cut edge where the hearts were cut loose is centered from side to side. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess foil sheets on the edges of the white rectangle.
Peel the protective backing off of the grouping of small open hearts cut out and adhere it to the white rectangle so it fits into the jagged spaces cut out along the top of the solid foil piece already on the white rectangle. If necessary, use Paper Snips to trim off excess foil on the edges of the white rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the white/foil rectangle. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere it to the Basic Gray rectangle.
Adhere the matted foil/white/gray rectangle to the front of the Lovely Lipstick card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front on the right side and tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out three of the solid foil hearts that you cut out. Peel the protective backings off of them and adhere them around the sentiment at slight angles.
Tip: Keep the rest of the foil heart cut outs for use on other projects.
