F un Valentine's Day card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of overlapping hearts of all sizes on white background pattern from All My Love Designer Series Paper, cut so the hearts are vertical
- 4" square of Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets from Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets
- 2-3/4" square from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Pick out the large, open, scallop-edged heart framelit that cuts out a heart that is 3-1/2" wide from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Place the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets square on the Cutting Pad on the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the heart framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: This framelit cuts out the center heart shape and a thin, scallop-edged heart frame. Use the Die Brush and/or Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces. You are using the heart frame on this project.
Tip: Keep the solid foil heart cut out to use on another project.
Put tiny pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the foil heart frame. Remove the protective backings and adhere the foil heart frame to the rectangle of All My Love Designer Series Paper at a slight angle so the left edge of the heart almost touches the left edge of the designer paper and the bottom point of the heart is about 3/4" from the bottom of the designer paper.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Lovely Lipstick 1/2" ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the designer paper rectangle so it is about 1" from the bottom and overlaps the bottom of the foil heart frame. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Lovely Lipstick card.
Mount the "Just for You" sentiment from the Meant To Be Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the large, open, scallop-edged heart framelit that cuts out a heart that is 1-7/8" wide from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. Place the sentiment stamped white square on the Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the heart framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: This framelit cuts out the center heart shape which you are using on this project. It also cuts out a thin, scallop-edged heart frame. Use the Die Brush and/or Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the heart frame and throw it away or use it on another project.
Tip: Keep the framelit out for use on the next step.
Place the Lovely Lipstick square on the Cutting Pad on the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the heart framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: Use the Die Brush and/or Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces. This time you are using the heart frame for this project.
Tip: Keep the solid Lovely Lipstick heart cut out to use on another project.
Place the outline, scalloped Lovely Lipstick heart upside down on your work surface. Place the stamped, solid white heart upside down inside it. Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the pieces, getting as close to the edges as possible. Carefully pick them up and adhere them to the front of the card at a slight angle so they overlap the other heart along the bottom right side and the ribbon. The right edge of the heart should be about 1/4" in from the right side and the bottom tip should be about 1/2" from the bottom.
Cut a 4" piece of the Lovely Lipstick 1/2" ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front to the left of the small sentiment heart and tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
