F
or as long as I have been making cards I've never made a shaker card. Today I thought I would give it a try and it was so easy it has me wondering why I never attempted it before.
The base is Smoky Slate. I cut a piece of Blueberry Bushel to measure 4" x 5 1/4". That piece was run through the Big Shot with one of the large rectangles from Rectangle Stitched Framelits. Using the Simple Stripes Embossing folder I ran through the Big Shot again.
Two pieces of Window Sheet were cut to 3 3/4 " x 4 3/4". I attached one those with Tear & Tape and surrounded it with Foam Adhesive Strips. Added the sequins and adhered the second piece of Window Sheet. A little note: polish the window sheet with a dry paper towel to remove any finger prints. Before adding it the base of Smoky Slate with dimensionals I stamped one the balloons from Ballon Celebrations in both Smoky Slate and Blueberry Bushel.
Once that was all put together I die cut the Happy Birthday Thinlit using Blueberry Bushel DSP. This was adhered to the front using little dots of Multi Purpose Glue.
It's quite stricking in real life and the sound is makes when shook can be a little too much entertaining.
Until Next Time !!
