Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Pool Party Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub some of the ink off onto Grid Paper. VERY lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the large, vertical white rectangle to turn the background a light blue with some white showing through . Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Make sure you have a piece of Grid Paper under the cardstock to protect your work surface.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Mount the stem with three leaves image from the Lovely You Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the top, left, bottom, and center of the blended white rectangle. Leave a small space near the center right side unstamped. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Mount the single flower image from the Lovely You Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the top, left, bottom, and center of the blended white rectangle in between the stem images. Leave a small space near the center right side unstamped. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Let some of the images overlap the stems a bit. Leave the stamp on the block.
Adhere the stamped and blended white rectangle to the center of the large Parakeet Party rectangle and then to the front of the Pool Party card.
Unlock the Double Oval Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" Orchid Oasis strip into the punch and get it centered in the scalloped oval punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the small sentiment of choice from the Lovely You Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the horizontal 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" white strip, leaving room to punch it out.
Holding the unlocked Double Oval Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment strip into the punch and get it centered in the smooth oval punching area. Punch. Keep both pieces of the cardstock.
Adhere the sentiment oval punch out to the center of the scalloped oval punch out.
Unlock the Bough Punch. Slide one end of the horizontal Parakeet Party strip into the punch and punch.
Adhere the layered sentiment oval punch outs to the punched out leaf stems so they stick out a bit to the left side of the oval as shown.
Adhere the sentiment oval punch out with leaf stems attached to the front of the card so the bottom of the ovals is about 1-1/2" from the bottom of the card and the right edge of the ovals is about 3/8" from the right side of the card.
Re-ink the single flower image on Block A with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the white strip.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the flower by hand.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the flower cut out to the left side of the sentiment oval punch outs as shown.
