Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and metallic specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of faded gold grid on white background design from Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-3/4" x 5" of closely packed small white and green leaves and berries on dark green background design from Season Of Green & Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the leaves are pointing up on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" square of gold foil from Textured Metallic 12" x 12" Specialty Paper
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- vanilla orchid and pods roughly cut out of sheet of gold leaves, flowers, cocoa pods, etc. on white background from Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips Scissors
- set of 5 leaves on stem cut out by hand using Paper Snips Scissors from sheet of gold leaves, flowers, cocoa pods, etc. on white background from Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper
Adhere the rectangle of white and green leaves and berries Season Of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Paper to the center of the gold grid rectangle of Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper.
Adhere the matted designer papers to the front of the Old Olive card.
Pick out both the die that cuts out a circle that is 2-1/8" in diameter and has ray lines all around the outer edge and the die that cuts out a circle that is 1-5/8" in diameter and has three leaf groupings all around the outer edge from the Spotlight On Nature Dies. Put them on top of the gold foil square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are nested inside each other. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Note: You are using the larger outline circle with the ray lines all around on this project. Keep the smaller circle cut out of the center for use on another project.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the gold foil outline circle with rays all around it to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the bottom and right edges.
Rub the Embossing Buddy included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit all over the Old Olive strip.
Mount the "congratulations" sentiment from the Lovely & Sweet Set on Block H. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Old Olive strip.
Lay the VersaMark stamped strip in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some gold powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder so it covers the sentiment completely. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool on the highest setting until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the cardstock while you are heating it so you don't burn your fingers.
Pick out the long, skinny, rounded end die from the Greetings Of The Season Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment and the end without the hole is about 3/8" from the "c" at the beginning of the word. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the long, skinny, rounded end die back on top of the stamped sentiment cut out on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment and the end without the hole is about 3/8" from the "s" at the end of the word. Run through the machine. You should now have a sentiment strip with a rounded end on each end that is a little shorter than the die and does not have a hole in it.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the gold foil circle and the end of the cut out nestles inside the inner curve of the circle on the right side.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips Scissors to roughly cut out a gold vanilla orchid and pods image from a sheet of Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper.
Pick out the matching vanilla orchid and pods die from the Lovely & Sweet Dies. Put it on top of the roughly cut out designer paper image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out vanilla orchid and pods image to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the sentiment strip and overlaps it along the top edge a tiny bit.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips Scissors to carefully cut out a gold set of 5 leaves on a stem image from a sheet of Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves cut out to the front of the card as shown so it sticks up from behind the left, upper side of the vanilla orchid and pods image.
Cut an 8" piece of the gold ribbon from the Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.
Tie a tiny bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom right end of the sentiment strip cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large and 2 small clear dots from a sheet of Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one large dot to the left end of the sentiment strip cut out and one large dot to the upper, right, inside edge of the gold foil circle. Adhere the rest randomly around the card front as shown.
