A card I created for the 2nd Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Melon Mambo Cardstock
- 3/4" x 5" from Pink Pirouette Cardstock
Place the piece of scratch paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink. As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock, place it on the paper on the mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger solid flower image (marked with a tiny "2a") from the Lovely Friends Set on Block B. Pay attention to which way the arrow molded into the edge of the stamp is pointing. Ink up the stamp with the Pink Pirouette Ink Pad. If needed, use a tissue or wet wipe to wipe off excess ink on the molded arrow. Stamp it onto the center of the bottom edge of the white rectangle so it almost goes over the edge remembering which way the arrow was pointing. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with Pink Pirouette Ink and wipe off excess from the molded arrow as needed. Stamp the flower about 1/2" in from the left side and about 1-3/4" up from the bottom edge. Again, remember which way the arrow is pointing. Re-ink the stamp one more time and wipe off excess ink on the arrow. Stamp it again just to the right and slightly higher than the previous flower. Let the flowers overlap a bit. Remember which way the arrow was pointing.
Mount the larger detailed flower image (marked with a tiny "2b") from the Lovely Friends Set on Block B. Pay attention to which way the arrow molded into the edge of the stamp is pointing. Ink up the stamp with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. If needed, use a tissue or wet wipe to wipe off excess ink on the molded arrow. Stamp it over a previously stamped solid light pink flower so the arrow is pointing in the same direction as when you stamped the solid flower. Re-ink the stamp twice more remembering to wipe off excess ink on the molded arrow and stamp it over the other two solid light pink flowers so the arrow is pointing the same direction as when you stamped the solid flowers.
Mount the double sprig image from the Lovely Friends Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad and stamp it a couple of times on either side of the two flowers and once on the right side of the bottom flower. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let the images go off the sides of the cardstock a little.
Mount the smaller, single sprig image on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad and stamp it between the two upper flowers. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it about 1-1/2" up from the bottom and about 3/4" in from the right side.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide the strip of Melon Mambo Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Hold the Banner Triple Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the strip of Pink Pirouette Cardstock into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Lay the punched Melon Mambo strip on the Stampin' Pierce Mat so the punched notch is on the right side. Rub the Embossing Buddy across the strip.
Mount the "I'm Honestly Feeling Very Blessed" sentiment from the Lovely Friends Set on Block H. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad and stamp it in the center of the Melon Mambo strip.
Sprinkle on White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Tap off excess powder and return it to the container to use again another time.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (smooth and shiny).
Adhere the punched Pink Pirouette strip to the stamped white layer so the punched notch is on the left and it is just below the stamped single leaf sprig. Trim off excess cardstock on the left side if needed.
Adhere the punched and heat embossed Melon Mambo strip to the stamped white layer so the punched notch is on the left and it is just to the left of the stamped single leaf sprig and overlaps the Pink Pirouette strip about half way. Trim off excess cardstock on the left side if needed.
Cut a 12" piece of Peekaboo Peach Baker's Twine. Fold the twine in half.
Lay the twine across the white layer so it covers the seam between the two punched strips. Flip the layer over and fold the ends of the twine over. Adhere the ends of the twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Leave the protective backing on the Tear & Tape pieces in place. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the layer. Remove the protective backings on the Dimensionals ONLY and adhere the layer to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Cut a 10" piece of Peekaboo Peach Baker's Twine. Fold the twine in half. Tie it to the twine on the card in a small bow so it is just to the left of the word "blessed" in the sentiment. Trim the ends.
Pick out 4 iridescent sequins in different sizes from the Metallics Sequin Assortment. Adhere them as shown to the card front using small dots of Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
