A pretty card I made for a swap with other Demonstrators who attended On Stage in April. Uses Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Powder Pink Card Stock
- 2-1/2" x 4" of white lattice with flowers on Berry Burst background design from Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Powder Pink Card Stock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Old Olive Card Stock
Pick out one of the decorative corner thinlits from the Lovely Laurel Thinlits. Place the large Powder Pink rectangle on the Precision Plate on top of your Platform on your Big Shot. Place the thinlit on top in the upper right corner. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the little cut out bits from the die.
Place the Powder Pink rectangle with the design cut into the corner on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. This will help insure that you get a really good stamped image when stamping with the photopolymer stamps.
Mount the "You make me ridiculously happy" sentiment from the Lovely Friends Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the Powder Pink rectangle at a slight angle.
Place the piece of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper on your Stampin' Trimmer so that the lattice pattern is facing up and the upper right corner is right on the cutting groove on the trimmer and the upper left corner is just touching the 3/4" line on the left side of the blade guide. Cut. You should have a slightly angled piece of paper.
Adhere the designer paper piece to the bottom of the stamped Powder Pink rectangle.
Mount the "Yes, You!" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Powder Pink Card Stock.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch and hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the sentiment strip into the punch and line the sentiment up so it is to the left side of the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the punched sentiment piece to the right side of the card front about 1/2" from the bottom. Trim off excess sticking off the right side using Paper Snips.
Cut a 5" piece of the Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the card front so it hides the seam between the designer paper and the card stock. Flip the card front over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape pieces and add more SNAIL to the back of the card front. Adhere the card front to the front of the Old Olive card.
Cut another piece of the ribbon 4" long. Slide it under the ribbon on the card front on the left side and tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the pencil to draw a small arrow pointing up in one corner of the white square.
Place the white square on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat with the small arrow you drew pointing up. This will help insure that you get a really good stamped image when stamping with the photopolymer stamps and will help you line up the images as you stamp them and cut them out with the thinlits die.
Mount the large solid flower image from the Lovely Friends Set on Block B so that the point on the stamp is pointing straight up. Ink it up with the Powder Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square so the point is pointing straight up.
Mount the large detail flower image from the Lovely Friends Set on Block B so that the point on the stamp is pointing straight up. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the Powder Pink image so that the point is pointing straight up.
Pick out the large open rough circle (flower) thinlit from the Lovely Laurel Thinlits. Place the stamped white square on top of a Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot so the little arrow you drew is pointing up. Place the thinlit on top with the metal arrow point on the thinlit pointing up so that the image is centered in the thinlit. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the small leaflet thinlit from the Lovely Laurel Thinlits. Place the small piece of Old Olive Card Stock on the Precision Plate on top of your Platform on your Big Shot. Place the thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the card stock if needed.
Adhere the leaflet to the back of the flower image using a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals so that the leaflet sticks out to the left side.
Remove the protective backings from the Dimensionals and adhere the flower and leaflet to the card front in the space in the lower left of the sentiment. Let the flower overlap the "h" in "happy" just a bit.
Adhere one of the small Glitter Enamel Dots to the center of the flower. You can use either a Berry Burst or an Old Olive dot.
