Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-3/4" square from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
- 4" square from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 5-1/4" square of any line only type design from the Graceful Glass 6" x 6" Designer Vellum
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
Adhere the large Lovely Lipstick square to the top of the large Whisper White rectangle.
Cut a 5" piece of Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the white cardstock so the ribbon is about 5/8" from the bottom. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Lovely Lipstick card.
Pick out the large square of puzzle pieces framelit from the Puzzle Pieces Thinlits. Place the small rectangle of Lovely Lipstick on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the square of puzzle pieces thinlit on top so you will cut out at least two complete puzzle pieces of your choice. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere two of the puzzle pieces to the bottom right side of the card front so they overlap the ribbon and overlap each other a bit.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Lovely Lipstick 1/8' Grosgrain Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side. Tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Follow the directions on the Envelope Punch Board for a 3" x 3" envelope to make an envelope using the piece of Graceful Glass Designer Vellum.
Tip: Be careful NOT to press too hard when making the score lines or you could tear the vellum.
Tip: Use the scoring tool to crease the score lines tightly when folding the envelope closed.
Use Mini Glue Dots to hold the ends of three of the flaps together to make the envelope. Make sure you leave the top flap unstuck so the envelope can be opened and closed!
Mount the "thanks for keeping me together" sentiment from the Love You To Pieces Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the left of center on the piece of Whisper White THICK Cardstock.
Mount the curving flower image from the Love You To Pieces Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of the sentiment and slightly below it on the piece of Whisper White THICK Cardstock so the flower curves into the space between the words "thanks" and "together."
Pick out the large square of puzzle pieces framelit from the Puzzle Pieces Thinlits. Place the stamped square of Whisper White THICK Cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the square of puzzle pieces thinlit on top so it is centered over the sentiment and flower images. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Try to keep the puzzle pieces together as best you can as you remove them from the thinlit.
Put the puzzle pieces in front of you on your work surface so they are at least roughly put together. Mount the grouping of small hearts image from the Love You To Pieces Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad and stamp the hearts on all four corner pieces of the puzzle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Jumble the puzzle pieces up and turn them all over face down. Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the back of each piece in the center but be sure to leave the protective backings in place!
Put all the puzzle pieces with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals with protective backings attached in the vellum envelope.
Mount the "One piece at a time" sentiment from the Love You To Pieces Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining rectangle of Whisper White Cardstock.
Pick out the large single puzzle piece framelit from the Puzzle Pieces Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the single puzzle piece framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use a couple of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the bumps at the end of the puzzle piece to adhere the puzzle piece to the envelope front (the side where all the flaps meet) so it is just below center. You want to be able to tuck the top flap of the envelope under the top of the puzzle piece to hold the envelope closed.
Use a single Mini Glue Dot on the back of the envelope (the smooth side) to adhere the envelope to the center of the red square on the card front.
