P retty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-7/8" x 4-1/8" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 4" of pearlescent purple flowers and green leaves on light brown background design from Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the Burlap background stamp on Block F. Place it rubber side up on your work surface. Ink it up by pouncing or rubbing the Crumb Cake Ink Pad all over it.
Leave the inked up Burlap stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the front of the folded Crumb Cake Card on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of a Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink. As you are ready to stamp using the Love What You Do Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the set of three open flowers on stems image from the Love What You Do Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the white rectangle so the flowers are about 1/2" in from the left side and the top flower goes off the top edge of the cardstock just a bit. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the set of three open flowers with stems image with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small white rectangle so you get the top flower image.
Mount the medium sized watercolor blob image from the Love What You Do Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp off once onto Grid Paper, then WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it over one of the flower images on the large piece of white cardstock. Repeat with the other two flower images on the large piece of white cardstock and the flower on the small piece of white cardstock; remember to re-ink the stamp each time and stamp off once before stamping on the cardstock.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Love What You Do Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the large stamped white rectangle so it overlaps the right flowers just a bit.
Tip: If you are using one of the wider sentiments (beautiful day or friend), make sure to stamp as close to the top of the cardstock as possible so you have room below for the designer paper strip.
Mount the small, feathery leaf image from the Love What You Do Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the stems about 1-1/8" inch up from the bottom so the end of the leaf stem touches the flower stems. WITHOUT re-inking, stamp the leaf image again just below and slightly to the right of the first leaf image.
Adhere the strip of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper across the bottom of the stamped white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle/designer paper layer to the center of the Blackberry Bliss rectangle.
Cut a 5" piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock/designer paper layers so it covers the seam between the cardstock and designer paper. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere the layers to the front of the Burlap stamped Crumb Cake card.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the top of the top flower image stamped on the small white rectangle. Follow the Blackberry Bliss lines as you cut out the flower.
Use a couple of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out flower to the top of the top flower on the card front so it goes over the top edge of the matted white rectangle.
Cut an 8" piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the ribbon already on the card so it is centered below the stamped flower stems.
