Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" from Merry Merlot Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" of mottled browns, reds, greens, and oranges on white background from Beauty Of The Earth 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
Pick out the solid, oak leaf die from the Stitched Leaves Dies. Put it on top of the large (4" x 5-1/2") Cinnamon Cider rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Remove the die and place it somewhere else on the rectangle. Run through the machine again. Repeat until you have added the stitches all over the Cinnamon Cider rectangle. Change the orientation of the die every so often. Let some of the stitches go off the edges of the cardstock.
Note: This solid die doesn't really cut anything out. Instead, it will add vein texture to the cardstock.
Adhere the Cinnamon Cider rectangle with stitched leaves cut into it all over to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Pick out the open, oak leaf die from the Stitched Leaves Dies. Put it on top of the small (2-1/2" x 3-3/4") Cinnamon Cider rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered in the vertical rectangle. Run through the machine. KEEP BOTH PIECES!
Put adhesive around the back side of the Cinnamon Cider rectangle with the leaf shape cut out of the center. Adhere it over the top of the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper rectangle.
Adhere the Cinnamon Cider rectangle with designer paper showing through the leaf cut out to the center of the Merry Merlot rectangle.
Adhere the matted Cinnamon Cider/designer paper leaf cut out rectangle to the front of the card on the left side so it is about 3/4" from the top edge and about 1/2" from the left edge.
As you are ready to stamp using the Love Of Leaves Set and the Art Gallery Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the oak leaf image from the Love Of Leaves Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Cinnamon Cider leaf cut out.
Pick out the solid, oak leaf die from the Stitched Leaves Dies again. Put it on top of the stamped oak leaf cut out on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is inside the stamped image. Run through the machine.
Note: The solid die doesn't really cut anything out. Instead, it will add vein texture to the interior of the leaf by dry embossing them in place.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped and stitched oak leaf cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown on the left side of the matted cardstock/designer paper leaf cut out rectangle.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Art Gallery Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Merry Merlot Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the thin strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock.
Pick out the long or short, wavy edge, banner die from the Floral Gallery Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die top to bottom and slightly closer to the right edge. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the leaf cut outs and sticks over the right edge of the matted cardstock/designer paper leaf cut out as shown.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Gold 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card on the left end of the sentiment label cut out.
