P retty fall card celebrating friendship using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" of shiny copper and gold foil leaves on vanilla background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/4" from multi-colored stripes on vanilla background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2-5/8" square from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Place the opened Cinnamon Cider card on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
Pick out the large, rectangular die with dotted lines of different heights from the Stitched Labels Dies. Put it on top of the Cinnamon Cider card so the bottom edge with the bottoms of all the dotted lines is even with the right edge of the card front and it is centered top to bottom. Run through the tool.
Note: This die will just cut fine, dotted lines of different heights into your cardstock. It does not actually cut anything out.
Adhere the strip of foil leaf Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Paper to the left edge of the Cinnamon Cider card front.
Adhere the striped rectangle of Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Paper to the center of the Cajun Craze rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Love Of Leaves Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the small, ruffle-edged leaf image from the Love Of Leaves Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the leaf image on the left side of the vanilla square so the stem is pointing down and the left edge of the leaf is about 3/8" from the left side of the square.
Mount the "your friendship..." sentiment from the Love Of Leaves Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vanilla square so it overlaps the right edge of the previously stamped leaf image just a bit and is centered top to bottom (the right edge of the sentiment should be about 3/8" from the right edge of the square).
Adhere the stamped vanilla square to the center of the Cinnamon Cider square.
Adhere the matted squares to the top of the matted striped rectangles so the top of the square is about 3/8" from the top and it is centered side to side.
Cut a 3-3/4" piece of the copper 1/8" grosgrain ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it is evenly spaced between the bottom of the sentiment/leaf square and the bottom of the striped rectangle. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the cardstock rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the right edge of the foil leaves designer paper strip a bit.
Cut a 12" piece of Gold 1/16" Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
Fold the Gold 1/16" Trim in quarters. Slide one end of the folded trim under the ribbon already on the card front so it is centered. Tie the trim in place using a knot.
Cut a 3" piece of the copper 1/8" grosgrain ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front so it is centered under the tied on Gold Trim knot. Tie the trim in place using a knot. Trim the ends.
Trim the ends of the Gold Trim. Unravel the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one medium gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left side of the leaf image.
