A big beautiful rose is perfect for Valentines Day, wedding cards, anniversary, or as this one shows saying hello to a wonderful friend. Coloring can be done with the new Watercolor pencils (once they are available again) or like I did, using a regular ink pad and a Blender pen or an Aquapainter if you prefer.
Project Recipe
Basic cardbase - left side fold (Whisper White): 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" folded to create front 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Accent layer (Rose Red): 4" x 5 1/4" remember to cut greeting accent out of center before assembling card.
Top layer (Whisper White): 3 3/4" x 5"
After cutting the accent greeting shape (using the framelit) from the center of the Rose Red layer, adhere Rose Red layer on the front of your card.
Stamp the rose in the lower left corner of the Whisper White piece using Black Stazon ink.
Using the ink inside the lid of the Rose Red ink pad on a blender pen (or Aquapainter if you prefer) start adding color to the flower portion of the stamped image. Add ink in small layers at a time until you get the look that you desire.
Next use Garden Green ink to add color to the petals. Once you have the desired color effect, you can adhere this layer to your card front.
Choose a greeting, stamp it in Garden Green ink. Punch out the greeting. Adhere to the center of the Rose Red accent piece. Using dimensionals attach the greeting to the card front.
