Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of small Sweet Sorbet gingham design from Country Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 4-1/2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Country Gingham Designer Paper to the center of the large Petal Pink rectangle and then to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
Mount the cat hanging from a line image from the Love Cats Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it about 3/4" to 1" from the top of the vertical white rectangle so it is centered side to side. Make sure you have Grid Paper under the cardstock to protect the work surface.
Mount the "I love hanging out with you" sentiment from the Love Cats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the cat image on the vertical white rectangle so it is centered side to side.
Pick out the open, frame with bumpy ends die from the Fabulous Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped white rectangle so the cat and sentiment are centered in the open space. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed. Leave the die out.
Note: You are using the large rectangle cut out of the center for this project.
Put the open, frame with bumpy ends die on top of the small Petal Pink rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Note: You are using the frame portion for this project. Keep the large rectangle cut out of the center for use on another project.
Adhere the white rectangle with the cat and sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1-1/8" from the top edge.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Petal Pink frame cut out to the front of the card so it is centered around the white rectangle.
Pick out one of the sets of two little hearts dies from the Conversation Bubbles Dies. Put it on top of the small square of Petal Pink on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll cut out one of the hearts. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Cut a tiny piece of Stampin' Dimensional from the edge of the sheet using Paper Snips Scissors. Use it to adhere the heart cut out to the front of the card over the top of the stamped heart the cat is holding in its paws.
Cut a 5" piece of Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Wrap the Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon from the spool around your four closed fingers 5 or 6 times. Keeping the ribbon looped, cut it free from the spool.
Tie the small piece of ribbon around the center of the looped ribbon tightly with a knot. Trim the ends of both pieces of ribbon to make 4 tails.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the loopy bow to the bottom left corner of the frame on the card front.
