P layful new baby girl card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Rococo Rose Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of Rococo Rose gingham design from 2019-2021 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/8" x 3-3/8" from Rococo Rose Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the In Color Designer Paper rectangle to the large Rococo Rose rectangle and then to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Mount the bunch of balloons image from the Little Elephant Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. BEFORE STAMPING, add some Rococo Rose Ink to the edges of the balloons using a Sponge Dauber. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it on the Petal Pink cardstock so the tops of the balloons are 1/4" from the top edge and the left side is 1/8" from the left edge.
Mount the large plaid elephant image from the Little Elephant Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical 2" x 2-1/2" strip of white cardstock.
Unlock the Elephant Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped elephant image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Adhere the elephant punch out to the stamped Petal Pink rectangle so the balloon strings appear to be coming out of the elephant's trunk.
Adhere the stamped Petal Pink rectangle to the smaller Rococo Rose rectangle.
Mount the long, wavy, plaid strip image from the Little Elephant Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Sponge Dauber rubbed across the surface of the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the horizontal 1-1/4" x 3" strip of white cardstock. Re-ink the stamp with the Sponge Dauber and Rococo Rose Ink and stamp it again just below the previously stamped image. Try to get the images to overlap just a bit.
Tip: Sometimes you will get a better image with stamps that have fine lines inside a solid image if you ink them up using a Sponge Dauber.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Use Paper Snips to cut off excess cardstock on the top and bottom of the wavy plaid strip. Also trim it down to 2-3/4" long.
Adhere the wavy plaid strip cut out to the matted Petal Pink rectangle so it is just below the elephant punch out and the right edge is even with the right edge of the Rococo Rose mat around the rectangle.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the 1/2" x 4" strip of white cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Congratulations" sentiment from the Little Elephant Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched strip of white cardstock so the notch is on the left and the left edge of the sentiment is about 5/8" from the notch.
Adhere the punched sentiment strip to the center of the wavy plaid strip so the notch is on the left and sticks out over the left end of the wavy plaid strip by about 1/2". Trim off any excess white cardstock on the right side using Paper Snips.
Adhere the stamped, layered, and matted Petal Pink rectangle to the right side of the card front so it is about 3/4" from the right side and about 3/8" from the top.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Rococo Rose 1/2" Gathered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at a slight angle in the center of the right end of the sentiment strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a hexagonal shaped gem from a sheet of Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front in the upper left corner.
