Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Place the Buffalo Check background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the large Granny Apple Green rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Adhere the stamped Granny Apple Green rectangle to the Pretty Peacock rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the card front so it is about 1" from the bottom edge. Secure in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Pretty Peacock rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Mount the large plaid elephant image from the Little Elephant Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of white cardstock. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the other end of the cardstock strip. Leave the stamp on the block.
Unlock the Elephant Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide a stamped elephant image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other elephant. Leave the punch unlocked.
Adhere one elephant to the right side of the card just above the ribbon. Adhere the other elephant just above the ribbon so his tail slightly overlaps the other elephant's trunk.
Re-ink the large plaid elephant image on Block B with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock so you get the elephant's ear. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the other end of the cardstock strip so you get the elephant's ear.
Holding the Elephant Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide a stamped elephant ear image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other elephant ear.
Adhere the elephant ears over the ears on the elephants on the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
Mount the thank you heart image from the Little Elephant Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the square of white cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the thank you heart image by hand.
Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the thank you heart cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle so it appears to be coming from the one elephant's trunk.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the center of the ribbon on the card front at a slight angle on the left side.
