F un Fold card made simple with your choice of Stampin' Up beautiful DSP and a simple sentiment.
Project Recipe
This card opens landscape.
With a piece of 11x4-1/4, score at the half mark (5-1/2). Then to create the fun fold, cut a piece off off the card front at 2-3/4 to create a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece. This piece then becomes the center portion of the card that holds the sentiment.
Cut 1 piece of DSP at 5-1/4 x 4 and 2 more pieces at 2-1/2 x 4 (you could make a total of 3 cards from one sheet of DSP).
This is where you get to have some fun. The DSP can be attached in various patterns depending on which side you decide to display. The full sheet is adhered to the inside of the card. The smaller pieces are adhered to the front half of the card and to the piece that was cut off. This extra piece is now turned to 90 degrees and adhered to the front half flap so that it is centred on the card front.
You will need two pieces of Whisper White, to use this sentiment 1-3/4 x 3-1/2 was used however, you could use a slightly bigger piece if you like (up to 2-1/4 x 3-3/4) without covering the piece of DSP. For the inside you will need a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White. To make sure that this piece is neatly hidden behind the front flap, put your adhesive on one side, open up the card and line up the paper on the non-sticky side to the reverse side of the front. Then simply close up the card to get proper placement. See photos.
To end up with this!
For the display card I stamped Make A Wish, from the Life is Grand Set and finished off the inside with ... and enjoy your day Happy Birthday. I embellished the front with Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
Decorate your envelope with a stamp set that coordinates with your choice of DSP. In this case I used the Four Seasons Sale-A-Bration that is now retired.
While I was creating many different looks depending on which side of the DSP was shown on each panel, I also switched up the sentiments for different uses by changing the size of the white piece on the front. I used two sentiments from Friendly Expressions.
