P retty birthday card using heat embossing and Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3" square of Pool Party Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Mossy Meadow rectangle into the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Use the thin line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line up the paper and get it straight. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Mossy Meadow rectangle to the large Pool Party rectangle and then to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Mount the "happy birthday" floral banner image from the Label Me Pretty Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it towards one side of the strip of Whisper White Cardstock.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of the Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers all of the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (smooth and shiny).
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the heat embossed image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the Markers to color in the leaves, flowers, and banner as shown. Buff off excess ink using a clean tissue.
Unlock the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Slide the Pool Party square into the punch and punch.
Adhere the circle punch out to the back of the heat embossed and colored label punch out so a bit of blue shows on the top and bottom in the center.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the matted label punch out to the center of the card front about 1-1/8" from the top.
Carefully peel up 3 rhinestones from a sheet of Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front in a rough triangle around the label image so they are centered over a dot between the diamond tufts.
