P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" of purple flowers on lighter purple background design from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 5" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the thin strip of Highland Heather Cardstock into the line of flowers embossing folder from the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders so the cardstock runs horizontally across the center of the pattern on the folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on a Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed strip of Highland Heather horizontally across the piece of Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper about 3/4" from the bottom. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the sides.
Adhere the designer paper to the large rectangle of Highland Heather.
Adhere the matted designer paper to the center of the large white rectangle and then to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment label from the Label Me Pretty Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of white cardstock near one end (just leave room to punch the image out).
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the dry embossed strip of Highland Heather on the right side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one flower-shaped and two round Highland Heather sequins from a sheet of Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card randomly.
