Project Recipe
Cut card stock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Blushing Bride Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" of vanilla scallop flowers on Fresh Fig background design from Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper Stack, cut so that the rows of flowers are horizontal
- 1-1/4" x 6" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Mount the background image of scattered flowers and leaves from the Wood Words Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Fresh Fig Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large vanilla rectangle about 1/4" from the top and 1/4" from the left side. Leave the stamp on the block.
Reink the stamp with the Fresh Fig Ink Pad. Stamp it to the right of the first image. Let the two images overlap just a bit in the center.
Ink up the Sponge Brayer by rolling it across the open Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Roll in one direction only or you'll only ink up a small portion of the roller. Roll the inked up brayer across the piece of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper until all the vanilla flower images are light pink. Reink the brayer as needed.
Tip: You can clean your brayer by running water over it until the water runs clear and then allow it to air dry.
Adhere the altered designer paper to the bottom of the stamped vanilla rectangle so that the flower images are pointing down.
Pick out the large scallop edge thinlit from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Place the long strip of Blushing Bride Cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scallop edge thinlit on top so it will just cut off the bottom of the strip. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the image with curved flower groupings bracketing an empty space from the Label Me Pretty Set on Block H. Carefully ink up only one of the curved flower groupings by pressing on the edge of the Fresh Fig Ink Pad. Stamp the curved flower grouping into one of the scallops on the scalloped Blushing Bride strip so that the big flower in the center of the grouping is pointing down. Leave the stamp on the block.
Continue stamping each of the scallops on the strip with the flower grouping as above. Remember to carefully reink the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped scallop strip to the vanilla/designer paper layer so it covers the top of the designer paper with the scallops facing down. Trim off excess cardstock on each side using Paper Snips.
Cut a 6-1/2" piece of Fresh Fig 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the card front so it hides the seam between the Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla card stocks. Flip the card front over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of layer. Adhere the layer to the large rectangle of Fresh Fig and then to the front of the Blushing Bride card.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 1-3/4" x 2-3/4". Place the smaller Blushing Bride rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the smooth oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-1/2" x 2-1/2". Place the smaller Fresh Fig rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the Fresh Fig smooth oval to the center of the Blushing Bride scalloped oval.
Adhere the ovals to the front of the card so they are centered side to side and the bottom of the scalloped oval just touches the valley points in the scalloped Blushing Bride strip.
Mount the bunch of flowers with the birthday sentiment image from the Label Me Pretty Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Fresh Fig Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped vanilla strip into the punch and center the stamped image in the punching area. Punch.
Use the brush tip of the Blushing Bride Marker to color in the banner on the image.
Adhere the punched out image to the center of the Fresh Fig oval.
Pick out one of the Fresh Fig bows from the 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows. Peel the protective backing off of the dimensional already stuck to the back of the bow. Adhere the bow to the card front at an angle on the left side of the sentiment punch out.
