Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3" x 5" of tiny white dots on distressed light pink background design from Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/8" of blue blossom branches on light pink background design from Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" square of tiny white dots on distressed light pink background design from Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Pool Party rectangle into the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Run the folder with the cardstock inside through your die cutting and embossing tool.
Adhere the dry embossed Pool Party rectangle to the front of the Pool Party card.
Adhere the 3" x 5" piece of white dots on pink background designer paper to the front of the card on the left side.
Pick out the stitched square die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a stitched square that is 2-5/8" square. Put the piece of blue blossom branches designer paper on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Put the square die on one short end of the designer paper at an angle so it will cut a notch in the end of the designer paper and cut off a little bit at the bottom. Run through the tool.
Adhered the banner of blue blossom branches designer paper to the front of the card at a slight angle so it overlaps the previously adhered piece of designer paper.
Pick out the stitched circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a stitched circle that is 2-7/16" diameter. Put it on top of the white dots on pink background square of designer paper on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the circle cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right edges of the previously adhered designer paper pieces and is about 1" from the top and about 1/2" from the right edge.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment label from the Label Me Pretty Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of white cardstock near one end (just leave room to punch the image out).
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment label punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the circle cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Mint Macaron flower gem from a sheet of Flower Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front so it overlaps the lower right side of the sentiment label punch out.
Cut an 8" piece of the Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon.
Cut a 20" piece of Linen Thread.
Fold the ribbon in half. Fold the thread in half. Use the folded thread to tie off the top of the folded ribbon using a small bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon and thread.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the tied off ribbon to the front of the card at a slight angle so the top of the ribbon is near the top of the designer paper banner and it overlaps the left edge of the designer paper circle a bit.
