am hoping to inspire you to try the Paper Kintsugi (or Kintsukuroi) Technique with this card!
Based on the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold or other precious metals, it's a reminder to stay optimistic when things fall apart!
Inspired by this technique, we will rip paper and put it back together with gold or silver embossing or foiling.
Card Base- Night of Navy : 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
DSP- Silver and Gold Specialty Paper: 3" x 6"
Mat- Foil or colored vellum: 2 3/4" x 4 1/2"
Focal Point- Night of Navy: 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Adhere your DSP to the card front at an angle and trim excess.
Adhere the foil or vellum mat
Tear your focal point paper in half at a slight angle.
Using glue, smear lightly across the torn edge.
Sprinkle Gilded Leafing on top of glue and brush off excess with a dry sponge or paint brush.
Once dry, glue the torn pieces back together allowing the Gilded Leafing to show.
Center your focal point cardtock piece on the foil or vellum mat.
