Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 1" x 5-1/4" of dark yellow diamonds on lighter yellow background design from Daffodil Afternoon 12" x 12" Design Series Paper, cut so the diamonds are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 3-1/4" square of Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Mount the line of palm fronds image from the Island Vibes Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp the tops of the palm fronds only across the top of the horizontal Pear Pizzazz rectangle on the left side. Re-ink the stamp as needed and stamp again on the right side so you have palm fronds stamped all the way across the top of the rectangle. Re-ink the stamp again and stamp the tops along the left edge about 3/4" from the bottom. Make sure to have a piece of Grid Paper under your cardstock to protect your work surface.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the designer paper strip on the stamped Pear Pizzazz rectangle so the notch is on the right and the bottom of the strip is about 3/8" from the bottom of the rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Special Moments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of your choice from the Special Moments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on the stamped Pear Pizzazz rectangle so it is just above the punched designer paper strip and the left edge of the sentiment is about 2-3/4" from the left edge of the rectangle.
Using Tear & Tape Adhesive, adhere one end of the Very Vanilla Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack to the back of the flat end of the notched designer paper strip so it is about 1/2" from the end. Wrap the twine around the designer paper a few times and cut it loose from the spool. Secure the loose end to the back of the designer paper strip using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the rest of the designer paper strip. Adhere it to the stamped Pear Pizzazz rectangle just below the stamped sentiment as shown. If needed, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on the left edge.
Adhere the stamped Pear Pizzazz rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Mount the pineapple image from the Island Vibes Set on Block H. Use the brush tip of the Mossy Meadow Marker to ink up the leaves on the top of the pineapple image. Use the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Marker to ink up the fruit on the bottom of the pineapple image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it on one side of the Daffodil Delight square. Repeat the inking and stamp it again on the other side of the Daffodil Delight square.
Use the brush tip of the Pear Pizzazz Marker to color in the leaves on the tops of the stamped pineapples.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the pineapples by hand.
Using Stampin' Seal, adhere one pineapple to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is just to the right of the twine wrapped around the designer paper strip and the bottom is even with the bottom of the designer paper strip.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the other pineapple cut out to the front of the card at a slight opposite angle so it overlaps the bottom right side of the first pineapple and is just to the left of the sentiment.
Cut a 10" piece of the Very Vanilla Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. Slide one end of the twine under the twine already on the card front. Tie in place using a small bow. Trim the ends.
