H ere's a detailed fun fold card with a well decorated inside that is partially visible from the front! Bling or no bling, this is an excellent choice for a wedding or engagement card.
Project Recipe
Cut sea foam cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a piece of 8.1/2 x 11 inch cardstock in half lengthwise to be 4 1/4 " x 11".
Score at 5 1/2"
From the end, cut off 1 3/8" and then from that point 2 3/4". See photo.
This is a layout of what the card base will look like.
Cut the DSP pieces which are 2 x 3 1/2" and 2 1/2 x 4". Cut a piece of white cardstock 2 1/2x4" Randomly stamp leaves on the white cardstock. I chose second generation stamping to give a more subtle look. Adhere the 2 x3 1/2" DSP to the white cardstock and adhere the white cardstock to the soft sea foam cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment from "Something Fancy" onto the 2" x 3 1/2" DSP.
Take the DSP that is 2 1/2 x 4" and cut it in half to be 1 1/4 x 4". Adhere DSP to the top and bottom of the card base.
Stamp the images. Note I prepared extra leaves as I wasn't sure if I wanted them on soft sea foam or white. You will need four leaf groups total and two flowers total.
Die cut the pieces. Notice I've added a post it note in the photo - a post it note works great to hold the die and paper together so the image is cut out precisely.
I also chose to die cut the white bead circles for the inside background from scrap white cardstock. It works best to cut the cardstock to roughly 5 1/2 inches. I used adhesive sheets on the white cardstock before die cutting on one card and liquid glue on another card. Choose what you are most comfortable with.
Adhere white string and dots to the seafoam back card base. Be sure to leave clearance at the top for the card to close.
Use a scissors or snips to trim the extra at the bottom.
Close the card top flap. Lay out the bottom of the front where it should go. Apply adhesive to the back top and bottom of the stamped focal point and place it centered on the top of the card front. This should adhere the front together in an "I" shape.
Cut a second piece of soft sea foam. I chose to make it the same size as the front (2 3/4 x 4 1/4") and a white piece to fit inside (2 1/2" x 4"). This will be the inside of your card. Attach a piece of organdy ribbon around the white cardstock and adhere to the soft sea foam.
Add adhesive to the back of the soft sea foam that will go inside the card. Open the card and place the inside upside down on the inside front of the card, lining up the edges. Gently close the card to adhere the inside in the right spot. This keeps the inside "hidden" when the card is closed.
When adhering the leaves and flower inside the card, be careful they don't show through to the front before sticking them down hard.
Adhere stamped and die cut flower and leaf images on the front as desired.
Add bling as you please!
