Cut cardstock and vellum designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of Purple Posy vellum from So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-5/8" x 3-3/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Inspiring Iris Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the outline two irises image from the Inspiring Iris Set on Block I. Use the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Marker to color directly onto the leaves and stems on the stamp. Use the brush tip of the Gorgeous Grape Marker to color directly onto the flowers on the stamp. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the 2-5/8" x 3-1/4" white rectangle.
Mount the solid iris leaves and stems image from the Inspiring Iris Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, hold the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Marker over the inked up leaves and stems and tap it around multiple times. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it on the white rectangle over the previously stamped leaves and stems portion of the image.
Mount the solid iris flowers image from the Inspiring Iris Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, hold the brush tip of the Gorgeous Grape Marker over the inked up flowers and tap it around multiple times. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it on the white rectangle over the previously stamped flowers portion of the image.
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 2-1/16" x 3-3/16". Put it on top of the stamped white cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Pick out the stitched, scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies that cuts out a scalloped rectangle that is 2-1/2" x 3-5/8". Put it on top of the Gorgeous Grape cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the iris flowers cut out to the center of the Gorgeous Grape cut out.
Adhere the matted iris flowers to the left side of the Purple Posy piece of vellum from the So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper so it is centered top to bottom and about 1/4" from the left edge.
Put SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the vellum where it will be hidden by the matted iris rectangle. Also use Mini Glue Dots behind some of the dots in the centers of the squares in the corners of the back of the vellum rectangle. Adhere the vellum rectangle to the large white rectangle.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2 x 3" white strip at the bottom when the strip is vertical.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked. Keep ALL the pieces.
To help line up the ribbon slots on the punched out sentiment, place the white cardstock with the ribbon slot punched out of it on top of the right side of the punched out sentiment and get it centered. Use the fine tip of the Gorgeous Grape Marker to draw around the inside of the ribbon slot. Repeat on the left side of the punched out sentiment.
Slide one short edge of the sentiment punch out into the side of the Label Me Fancy Punch that punches out a ribbon slot. Get the punching area centered on the outline of the ribbon slot you drew in the previous step and punch. Repeat with the other short edge of the sentiment punch out.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon.
Thread the sentiment punch out onto the ribbon and get it centered on the right side of the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon with sentiment punch out threaded on it across the matted designer paper vellum/cardstock rectangle so the bottom of the ribbon is about 1-3/8" from the bottom edge. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Whisper White rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card so it is centered over the iris stems and leaves to the left of the sentiment punch out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium Granny Apple Green dot from a sheet of Glitter Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the dot in the center of a square in the upper right corner of the vellum on the card front.
