I was in need of some masculine sympathy cards. The In Good Taste paper pack and elements came together to make these sympathy cards.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Night of Navy 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Crumb Cake paper 4 X 5 1/4
Card Front: Cut print paper from In Good Taste paper pack 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛
I used two stitched rectangles. Choose the rectangle that fits around the sentiment you want for your card front and cut from white card stock paper. Use the next size stitched rectangle to cut a mat from Crumb Cake for your sentiment.
Attach the card front to the card mat. Attach these to the card base.
Stamp sentiment on white stitched rectangle. Attach Crumb Cake stitched rectangle to lower right corner of card front. Attach stamped rectangle to Crumb Cake mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach an In Good Taste element placing the end under the stamped white rectangle. I used Tombow glue to attach to card front, you could also use glue dots.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
If you want to cover your envelope flap to match your card, you can find directions here: http://www.scrappinwithjoni.com/blogs/covering-your-envelope-flap
I used another print from the same paper pack and paired it with a Balmy Blue mat.
