I love creating 3d projects especially for Valentines Day. The second I saw the lovely Balloon package created by Sara over at http://www.muchlovesara.com/2016/11/full-of-hot-air.html I knew that my group would like to make this for Valentines gifts.
Project Recipe
Cut out 6 Balloons you can find the file over on http://www.muchlovesara.com/2016/11/full-of-hot-air.html I adjusted the size of mine and cut it out with an ecutter.
Stamp the balloons with the heart stamps on three of the balloon pieces.
Fold balloon pieces and alternate stamped vs not stamped pieces.
Cut off the basket piece on the balloon.
I used the banner thinlets the smallest size to create the banner. I scored at 1/4" and bent over Basic Black Baker's twine.
I found these mini paint cans at my local craftstore and I adheared a 1 3/8" inside the lid on the top.
Cut two straws to equal lengths so that you end up with a total of three equal pieces. Cut a small slit in the upper part of the straw so that you can slide the balloon down into the slit.
Tie three bows using the rabbit ear method. Adhere the ribbons to the top of the straws to cover where the straw meets the balloon.
Stamp Sentiment and adhere to scallop piece. After you have your sentiment tag adhere them to the straw at desired location.
Tie the banner around the balloon. I used a glue dot to secure to the balloon.
