y card was inspired by Tina Wardell's idea using both sets.
Stamp Sets: Hippest Hippos (SAB), Jingle, Jingle, Jingle
Cardstock: Real Red, Pacific Point, Basic White, Storybook Gnomes DSP
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Real Red
Stampin’ Blends: Real Red, Gray Granite, Color Lifter
Other: Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Basic Borders, Hippo Dies (SAB), Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals
1. The base of the card is Real Red cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.
2. The second layer is Pacific Point cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.
3. Cut the snowflakes Storybook Gnomes DSP at 3” x 3-3/4” and adhere to the Pacific Point cardstock.
4. Cut Basic White cardstock at 2-1/2” x 3-3/4” and use the Basic Borders Die to create the ground snow. Ink up the sentiment “Tis the Season to be” from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento. Adhere to the Pacific Point layer of cardstock at the bottom with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
5. On a piece of Basic White cardstock, ink up the dancing hippo with Tuxedo Black Memento and die-cut with the Hippo Die. Color the hippo in with Gray Granite and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
6. Ink up the Santa hat from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento on Basic White cardstock. Color it in with Real Red Stampin’ Blend. Cut it out with the Paper Snips.
7. Glue the Santa hat onto the hippo with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then add Dimensionals to the hippo and adhere to the card.
8. For the inside, ink up the “Jolly” stamp from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set. Put a piece of leftover DSP on one side.
