F un Easter treat boxes using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4" x 9-3/4" of one of the designs without shells from Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Sahara Sand Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock (if making a box with hatching eggs)
- 2-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock (if making a box with a chicken)
- pieces of 1" x 2" of So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, and/or Melon Mambo Cardstock (if making a box with eggs)
- 1-1/4" square from So Saffron Cardstock (if making a box with a hatched chick)
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock (if making a box with streamers)
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Melon Mambo Cardstock (if making a box with streamers)
- 1" x 6" from So Saffron Cardstock (if making a box with corn)
Fold together a Love You Always Treat Box using a Bone Folder.
Fill the box with treats and close it up.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the short sides of the BACK of the Sand & Sea Designer Paper strip. Put lines of Stampin' Seal or Stampin' Seal+ down the BACK side of the designer paper strip as well.
Remove the protective backing from one of the short strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Start adhering the designer paper to the center of the box sleeve on the bottom of the box. Wrap the paper around the sleeve and crease on the corners as you go. Remove the protective backing from the other short strip of Tear & Tape and adhere the end of the designer paper in place on the bottom of the sleeve.
Pick out the sign die from the Chick Dies. Put it on top of the Sahara Sand rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip as needed to remove the pieces.
Mount the word "Easter" from the A Wish For Everything Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the sign.
If making a box with hatching eggs, mount the chick hatching out of an egg image from the Hey Birthday Chick Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on one side of the 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" vanilla rectangle.
If making a box with hatching eggs, mount the hatching egg image from the Hey Chick Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the other side of the 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" vanilla rectangle. Be sure to leave room between the images to cut them out.
If making a box with hatching eggs, pick out the matching hatching egg dies from the Chick and Birthday Chick Dies. Put them on top of the stamped images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the images are centered in the dies. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
If making a box with hatching eggs, put the chick hatching out of an egg oval cut out and the hatching egg cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
If making a box with hatching eggs, use the Dark and Light So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color in the hatching chick and his legs and the legs on the hatching egg.
Use the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the middle stripe on the hatching chick's party hat and the pompom.
Use the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the hatching chick's beak.
Use the Dark Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends to color in the top and bottom stripes of the hatching chick's party hat.
Use the Light Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends to lightly outline the crack on the hatching egg.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
If making a box with hatching eggs, pick out the set of two eggs die from the Chick Dies. Put it on top of the small Flirty Flamingo rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed. Put the die back on top of the small Melon Mambo rectangle and run it through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed.
If making a box with hatching eggs, pick out the streamer die from the Birthday Chick Dies. Put it on top of the long, skinny Flirty Flamingo rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed. Put the die back on top of the long, skinny Melon Mambo rectangle and run it through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed.
If making a box with hatching eggs, pick out the small, hatched chick die from the Birthday Chick Dies. Put it on top of the small So Saffron rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed.
If making a box with hatching eggs, WITHOUT ADHERING lay all the pieces on the top of the box sleeve to figure out placement and spacing. When happy, start adhering the pieces in place one at a time using Stampin' Seal, Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals as needed.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, mount the chicken that is bending over image from the Hey Chick Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the 2-1/2" vanilla square.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, pick out the matching chicken die from the Chick Dies. Put it on top of the stamped chicken image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, put the chicken cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, use the Dark and Light Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's head and some of the feathers and wing.
Use the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's wattle and comb.
Use the Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's feet and beak.
Use the Light and Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the chicken and blend things together.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, adhere the sign cut out to the left side of the top of the box sleeve at a slight angle.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, adhere the colored chicken cut out to the right side of the top of the box sleeve so it overlaps the lower right corner of the sign a bit.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, pick out the 4 tiny corn cob dies from the Chick Dies. Put them on top of the long, narrow strip of So Saffron on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Put 2 of the dies back on the So Saffron strip to cut out two more pieces of corn so you have a total of 6 pieces of corn. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip as needed to remove the pieces.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, put the pieces of corn cut outs on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, use the Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends fine tip to add dots of darker yellow color to the corn pieces.
If making a box with a chicken eating corn, adhere 5 of the pieces of corn in a pile at the base of the sign using Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adhere the final piece of corn off to the side a bit by itself.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, mount the chicken looking over it's shoulder image from the Hey Chick Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the 2-1/2" vanilla square.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, pick out the matching chicken die from the Chick Dies. Put it on top of the stamped chicken image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, put the chicken cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, use the Dark and Light So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's tail, wing, head, and legs.
Use the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's comb and beak.
Use the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to highlight some of the chicken's feathers.
Use the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the chicken and blend everything together.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to remove any unwanted color as needed.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, use the fine-tip of the Melon Mambo Marker to add darker pink lines to the chicken as needed. If desired, blend everything together again using the Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, adhere the sign cut out to the top of the box sleeve at an angle in the upper right corner.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the chicken cut out to the top of the box sleeve so it overlaps the sign post and the left edge of the sign.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, pick out the set of two eggs die from the Chick Dies. Put it on top of the small Flirty Flamingo rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Remove the pieces. Put the die back on top of the small Melon Mambo rectangle and run it through the machine. Remove the pieces. Put the die back on top of the small So Saffron rectangle and run it through the machine. Remove the pieces. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces if needed.
If making a box with a chicken with eggs, adhere one of each color small egg cut out to the top of the box sleeve on the lower left side so they overlap each other a bit at different angles. Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere one of the eggs.
