Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Pale Papaya Cardstock
Pick out the large, notched corner label die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the large, horizontal white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the left edge of the die is about 5/8" from the left side of the cardstock and the top edge of the die is about 1" from the top of the cardstock. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the large horizontal rectangle with the label cut out of it for this project. Use the label cut out for another project.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the white rectangle with the label cut out of it onto the Basic White Thick card front.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Hey Birthday Chick Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it on the card front so it is centered top to bottom in the cut out area and is about 5/8" from the inside left edge of the cut out area.
Remove the white rectangle with the label cut out of it.
Mount the grouping of confetti image from the Hey Birthday Chick Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly several times around the sentiment. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the grouping of confetti image on Block B but this time using the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly several times around the sentiment filling in blank spaces. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the white rectangle with the label cut out of it back onto the stamped Basic White Thick card front to get an idea of where else to stamp the confetti images. If needed, remove the white rectangle and stamp more confetti images.
Pick out the streamer die from the Birthday Chick Dies. Put it on top of the long, skinny Rich Razzleberry rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick paper-piercing tool to remove the pieces if needed. Keep the die out.

Put the streamer die on top of the long, skinny Pale Papaya rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick paper-piercing tool to remove the pieces if needed.
Using Stampin' Seal around the edges of the label cut out on the back side of the white rectangle with the cut out, adhere the streamers in place so they will show through the label cut out along the top and overlap each other some.
Add additional Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle with label cut out and streamers attached. Adhere the white rectangle in place to the front of the stamped Basic White Thick card.
Mount the dancing chicken image from the Hey Birthday Chick Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching, dancing chicken die from the Birthday Chick Dies. Place the die on top of the dancing chicken image on the platform of your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Put the dancing chicken cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's front feathers, beak, and feet.
Use the Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's wings, tail, and face.
Use the Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends to color in the chicken's comb and wattle.
Use the Dark and Light Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the chicken's body and blend the colors together.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored chicken cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 Calypso Coral and 3 Rich Razzleberry sequins of different sizes from a sheet of Artistry Blooms Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card in and around the label cut out.
