Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of lines of hands doing a pinky promise and small hearts design from All Together 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the hands are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock]
- 1" x 3-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3/4" x 4" of tiny white hearts on black background design from All Together 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the tiny hearts are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 1" square from Real Red Cardstock
Put the large All Together Designer Paper rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the little hearts on the designer paper rectangle.
Adhere the colored designer paper rectangle to the center of the Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
Mount the hands making a heart shape image from the Here Together Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching hands forming a heart die from the Here For You Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Put the hands forming a heart cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the fingernails on the thumbs.
Use the Natural Tones Stampin' Blends to color in the hands as desired.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Real Red strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one short edge of the black with tiny white hearts designer paper strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end.
Mount the 1 or 2-line sentiment of choice from the Here Together Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched, red sentiment strip.
Put the punched designer paper strip on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the tiny hearts on the ends of the punched designer paper strip.
Adhere the stamped and punched Real Red sentiment strip to the top of the colored and punched designer paper strip so a bit of the designer paper sticks out on each end in the center of the notched ends.
Cut a couple of short lengths of the Real Red 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.
One at a time, fold the short lengths of ribbon in half horizontally. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut towards the folded side at a sharp angle. This will give you pieces of ribbon with notched ends.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the ribbon pieces to the back of the matted sentiment/designer paper punched strips so the notched ends of the ribbon stick out from the centers of the notched ends a bit. Leave the protective backings of the Tear & Tape pieces in place for now.
Pick out a single doily from the Square Vellum Doilies and put it on a piece of Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color the vellum doily on one side.
Adhere the colored hands forming a heart cut out to the colored doily so it is centered side to side and about 3/8" from the top.
Remove the protective backing from the layered ribbon/designer paper/sentiment punched strips and add more adhesive as needed. Adhere the layered sentiment punch out to the bottom of the doily so it is centered side to side and overlaps the bottom of the hands cut out a bit as shown.
Add more adhesive if needed where it is hidden and adhere the layered doily/hands cut out/sentiment punch outs to the front of the card in the center.
Pick out the heart die from the Here For You Dies. Put it on top of the Real Red square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the heart cut out to the center of the heart formed by the hands.
