C heerful hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-5/8" x 5-1/2" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" of Balmy Blue diamond gingham design from Country Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 6-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Country Gingham Designer Paper to the front of the vertical Daffodil Delight card so it is 1/4" from the top, left, and bottom edges.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybug Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large, single daisy image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C so one petal is straight down. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the vertical 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" white rectangle. Make sure to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Let some of the images go off the edges. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large, single daisy image on Block C using the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it three times on the thin white strip, leaving space between the images so you can punch them out. Make sure one petal is pointing straight down on each image. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the small, solid, slightly jagged edge circle image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the each of the daisies, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large, vertical stamped white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation a little each time. Let some of the words overlap the previously stamped daisies.
Adhere the stamped, large, vertical white rectangle to the center of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Cut a 3-1/4" piece of the Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Variegated Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted white rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle as needed. Adhere to the front of the Daffodil Delight card so it is about 1/4" from the right edge and the top and bottom edges are even.
Unlock the Medium Daisy Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide a daisy image into the punch and get it lined up in the punching area. Punch. Repeat until you've punched out all three daisies.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the daisies on top of each other so they are all slightly offset and form a fuller daisy.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered daisy to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the left side and is about 1/2" from the left side of the card..
Cut a 4" piece of the Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Variegated Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie it in place 1/2 way between the right side of the daisy and the right side of the card using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Carefully pick out 11 of little yellow flower and leaf embellishments from the Loose Daisy Embellishments.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the little flower embellishments on your card front randomly all over the daisy and hello stamped white strip to figure out placement. Once happy with the placement, use tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the embellishments in place.
