Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Melon Mambo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 3-3/8" square of Melon Mambo Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square of tiny pink cupcakes and candy jars on pink background from How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Blushing Bride rectangle into the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on a Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Blushing Bride rectangle to the front of the Melon Mambo card.
Adhere the square of How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper to the square of Melon Mambo Cardstock. Then, adhere the matted squares to the front of the card so they are about 1/2" in from the top, left, and right edges.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Cupcake Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp
Mount the cupcake bottom image from the Hello Cupcake Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large white rectangle near the bottom.
Mount the cake layer image from the Hello Cupcake Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it right on top of the cupcake bottom.
Mount the cupcake frosting image from the Hello Cupcake Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it right on top of the cake layer of the cupcake.
Mount the sprinkles image from the Hello Cupcake Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it on the frosting on the cupcake.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the cupcake by hand. Don't worry about the shadow to the left of the cupcake bottom, just cut it off. You may also have to cut off some of the swirl on the top of the frosting unless you are better at fussy cutting than I am!
Adhere the cut out cupcake image to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the matted designer paper square and hangs off the bottom edge just a bit.
Mount the sentiment of your choice from the Hello Cupcake Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining smaller white rectangle.
Pick out the tag framelit from the Detailed Birthday Edgelits. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the tag framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment and the top of the tag is on the right side. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Melon Mambo Marker to carefully outline the tag.
Adhere the tag to the card front at an angle so the top of the tag is just below the cake layer on the left side of the cupcake and the bottom of the tag covers the lower left side of the matted designer paper square.
Cut a 4" piece of the Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the tag at a slight angle.
Pick out a silver candle from the Candle Embellishments. Remove the protective backing from the adhesive on the back of the candle and adhere it to the card front so it is sticking out of the top of the cupcake frosting just to the left of the swirl at a slight angle.
