E legant Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Silver Foil Sheets
- scrap of Silver Foil Sheets at least 1-1/4" square
Place the larger Whisper White rectangle into the Softly Falling Embossing Folder so you'll get lots of dots along the top edge. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Tear about 1-1/2" of paper off of one side of the smaller Whisper White rectangle.
Mount the "Joy to the World" sentiment from the Hearts Come Home Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the the torn white rectangle about 3/4" down from the torn edge.
Pick out the church, house, and two trees edglit from the Hometown Greetings Edgelits. Place the Silver Foil Sheets strip on the Precision Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Hometown Geetings Edgelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the foil sheet.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the tree on the left side of the church.
Place the church, house, and tree cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the cut out. Flip the cut out over and adhere it to the white layer that you dry embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder so the top of the church is about 1/2" from the top.
Trim off any excess foil sheet on the sides using Paper Snips.
Adhere the torn, stamped white rectangle to the bottom of the Softly Falling embossed/foil sheet layer so the torn edge covers the bottom edge of the foil sheet.
Trim off excess white layer on the sides and bottom using Paper Snips.
Cut a 5" piece of Silver 1/8" Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the Softly Falling embossed/foil sheet/stamped white layer so it is right under the stamped sentiment. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layers. Adhere the layers to the Night of Navy rectangle and then to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Cut a 3" piece of Silver 1/8" Ribbon.
Tie it to the ribbon on the card front using a half knot so it is centered under the sentiment. Trim the ends.
Unlock the 3/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the scrap of Silver Foil Sheets into the punch part way (about 3/4 of the way). Punch. Throw away the punched out piece.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the punched scrap of Silver Foil Sheets into the punching area so that you have a crescent moon of foil sheet around the previously punched circle area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the crescent moon shape to the front of the card in the upper right corner.
