Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lost Lagoon Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" from Smoky Slate Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" of small white hearts scattered over dark blue green background from Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper, cut so the hearts are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2-1/2" square from Smoky Slate Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 4-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Insert the Lost Lagoon rectangle into the crosshatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the long Pretty Peacock strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out both of the argyle diamond dies from the
All That Dies. Put them on top of the Pretty Peacock strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Pretty Peacock (blue green) side is face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Leave room to cut out a third argyle diamond. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Put one of the dies back on the remaining bit of Pretty Peacock and run through the machine again so you have 3 argyle diamonds. Keep some of the small diamonds cut out of the centers.
Carefully remove the protective backing from one of the argyle diamond cut outs. Adhere it to the vertical, dry embossed Lost Lagoon rectangle so the solid diamond areas are on the top and bottom and the right edge is about 1/8" from the right edge of the rectangle and the top edge is about 1-3/8" from the top edge of the rectangle.
One at a time, carefully remove the protective backings from the other two argyle diamond cut outs and adhere them just above and just below the first argyle diamond cut out as shown.
Adhere the strip of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper to the center of the long strip of Smoky Slate cardstock. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the matted designer paper strip to the left side of the Lost Lagoon rectangle so about 1/8" of Lost Lagoon shows on the left side. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the Lost Lagoon rectangle to the front of the Pretty Peacock card.
Mount the compass rose image from the He's All That Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Smoky Slate square.
Pick out the scalloped edge circle die from the All That Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the compass rose cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the right edge of the matted designer paper strip and the argyle diamonds as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large Pretty Peacock gems from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the center of the compass rose. Adhere the other in the lower right corner of the card.
One at a time, carefully remove the protective backings from two of the tiny diamond cut outs from the centers of the larger argyle diamonds. Adhere them to either side of the gem in the lower right corner of the card front as shown.
The designer paper has a few random hearts colored in Bubble Bath. If desired, use the Bubble Bath Stampin' Write Marker to darken any of the colored in hearts and color in a few more as needed.
