C ute candy/treat boxes that look like apples using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 5-1/2" square from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Pick out the four-pointed box die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. Put it on top of the square of Poppy Parade Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Fold on all score lines using the Bone Folder to help you get sharp, crisp folds.
Curl the four points a bit by running them over the edge of the Bone Folder.
Fold the two points with the handle on top in to the middle so the handles meet and stick up. Fold one of the points with a slit in it up and over the top of the handles and slide the handles through the slit. Fill the box with candy or treats. Fold the other point with a slit in it up and over the top of the handles and slide the handles through the slit.
Use the Chalk Marker to draw light reflection lines on the front of the box.
Mount the stem image from the Harvest Hellos Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the end of the strip of Granny Apple Green Cardstock so the fatter end of the stem is on the right side.
Unlock the Apple Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped stem image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Use a tiny dot of Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue at the top of the stem on the back side to adhere the stem to the front of the handles in the middle. The bottom of the stem should stick down into the slits in the top of the box.
Cut a 3" piece of Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the box just in front of the stem.
