veryone loves to give and receive a special treat. This can be something as simple as a sweet treat to eat or just a simple act of kindness with no strings attached...
Let's spread some kindness in whatever way you choose this holiday season!
Here is one way which is very economical and is that "Just a little somethin'" as we say in the South.
These treat tubes first made an appearance at Stampin Up with a Paper Pumpkin kit last October. I just recently put my kit together this weekend. As I was making these I thought about seeing these in the Annual Catalog this year... While these are for Halloween, why not Christmas, New Years, Valentines, Easter or any number of other holidays through out the year. For that matter what about a "Just Because" gift. The October 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit and refill are still available to order. The kit gives you everything you need to make 16 cute tubes for $8. If they sell out, you can also order just the tubes from the Annual Catalog which is $5 for 12 tubes. Either way it is still an economical purchase... I have heard from fellow stamps that those in the Annual Catalog are a bit smaller than those in the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Another way to spread kindness which is even more inexpensive to make your own treat holder from the fabulous paper stash we all have and never seem to use up fast enough..... If that is not the case then head over to the Stampin Up Store and you can order some fabulous Designer Series Paper like the Spooky Cats.
Another example is the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. Isn't it beautiful and it is double sided!
Take a look at this adorable candy holder I found online this weekend from Nina Suggs at Walla Stamping. I pulled out paper from my stash and some very old embellishments to make this cute little Halloween holders. And then I got to thinking - these would be great for any holiday or "Just Because" by changing out the colors and themed embellishments you choose to use...

1. Cut all your pieces.
2. Score the base pieces as follows:
9 1/2 x 5 piece on the 5: side at 1/2" and 1" on both sides. Score only one side of the 9 1/2" at 1/2" and 1" and turn. Score at 2 1/2 " stopping at the second score line, flip paper over so it is upside down and do the same short score line again. These are for cutting so you will not fold and burnish these. See the score/cutting guide picture for reference.
3. Apply pattern paper to the front and back panel mats. Apply the mats to the front and back base pieces.
4. Apply adhesive according to the picture.
5. Attache the 3 x 6 panel front. Take your time to get everything lined up correctly and your box square at the bottom.
6. Stamp your sentiment.
7. Cut out with the 3rd from smallest oval and then cut the same size scalloped oval from a complimentary mat color. Adhere together and attache to pouch front with Dimensionals.
8. Tie a small bow with Baker's Twine and attach with a mini glue dot.
9. Attach embellishments with glue dots under the medallion. You can also use liquid glue if you wish.
