P ull out the box and place a gift card or cash inside
Project Recipe
Front cover of your box begins with 5 13/16" x 8 3/4" piece of card stock that is scored at 5/8", 4", 4 5/8" and 8 1/8". (In my picture this is in Night of Navy).
The box begins with card stock measuring at 8" x 8". Place in the envelope punch board and go around beginning at 2 3/4" (score and punch) then line up the score line with the indicator on the punch board and score and punch (do this on all four sides). Then do the same thing beginning at 3 1/2" on the same side that you began with the first time.
On one of the end smaller triangles, fold in on the first score line and place centered as best you can and punch (this will make a little pull out circle in your box.
Burnish all of the score lines. Cut the tabs on each end. All the way around you want to fold up on the first score line on each side and then fold this into the second score line to create the little lip on your box. Using Glue dots fold in your tabs to make your box. Using liquid glue, attach all of the flaps to the inside of the box.
To cover the flaps that you glued on the inside of the box, cut a piece of card stock that measures 3 1/4" x 5 11/16" and glue this to the bottom. You will also need 3 pieces of card stock that measure 1" x 3 1/4" and scored at 1/2" (these will be the inserts to add your banner and two owls on the inside that pop up when opening the box. Start with the one that is furthest from the front and measure to make sure you have enough room to put a gift card and then add the other two (trying to center as best you can). I added the owls using glue dots and put the banner on a small piece of window sheet and added with glue dots.
The front accent color (mine is soft sky) measures 5 11/16" x 3 1/8" (I also put on on the back with a greeting). Cut out the graduation numbers, stamped the greeting and added the owl.
Wrap the front part around the box itself and use either liquid glue or sticky strip to close.
