Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of rows of curvy medallions in Seaside Spray design from 2019-2021 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the rows are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2 pieces each 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Seaside Spray designer paper to the 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle and then to the front of the Seaside Spray card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Full Of Happiness Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the chick body image from the Full Of Happiness Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" white square.
Mount the two eyes image from the Full Of Happiness Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the chick image so it fills in the two white spaces for the eyes. Make sure the slightly smaller eye is on the left side.
Mount the tiny beak image from the Full Of Happiness Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it on the chick image so it fills in the white space for the beak. Make sure the small white line on the edge of the image is on the lower right side.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the chick by hand.
Use the edge of one of the blades of the Paper Snips or your fingernail to rough the edges of the cut out chick.
Mount the striped, cracked, half egg image from the Full Of Happiness Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" white rectangles. Re-ink the stamp and stamp in the center of the other 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" white rectangle.
Pick out the half, cracked egg die from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped half egg images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the half egg image is centered. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other half egg image.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the chick and half egg images on the card front to figure out spacing so the egg halves overlap each other and the bottom of the chick cut out a bit. When happy with the layout, adhere the pieces in place one at a time using SNAIL.
Mount the "May your Easter be full of happiness." sentiment from the Full Of Happiness Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 3-5/8" long. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered side to side at the bottom of the rectangle. Run through the tool.
Put the rectangle die back on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is still centered side to side and the top edge of the die is just above the top edge of the sentiment. Line the edges of the die up with the already cut out edges. Run through the tool. The finished sentiment rectangle cut out should be about 5/8" tall.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the center of the egg halves and is centered side to side.
Mount the tiny flower image from the Full Of Happiness Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it near one end of the Daffodil Delight strip in the center. Leave room around the image to punch it out.
Unlock the Small Bloom Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped flower into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the flower punch out to the card front so it overlaps the top of the egg half on the right near where the back of the chick disappears behind the egg half.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 medium rhinestones from a sheet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the small rhinestone to the center of the flower punch out. Adhere one medium rhinestone in the upper right corner of the card. Adhere the other medium rhinestone to the egg half on the left just above the sentiment cut out.
