Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Lost Lagoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 4-1//8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Friendly Seagulls Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the seagull with fries in his beak image from the Friendly Seagulls Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal, large, white rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the left and top edges.
Put the stamped white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface because the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color the feathers on the wings and tail of the bird as shown.
Use the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends to color the bird's feet and beak.
Use the Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color the french fries in the bird's beak.
Mount the flying birds image from the Friendly Seagulls Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the stamped and colored white rectangle once and then again slightly lower and to the left without re-inking.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Pool Party rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the letters "T," "H," "A," "N," "K," and "S" dies from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Put them on top of the Pool Party rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Pool Party (blue) side is face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Lay the letters on the stamped and colored white rectangle to spell out the word "Thanks" to figure out spacing and placement. One at a time, carefully remove the protective backing from the backs of the letter cut outs. Adhere them in place.
Cut a 6" piece of the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording.
Lay the cording across the bottom of the white rectangle so it is just below the letters. Fold the ends of the cording over and secure the cording in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Lost Lagoon card.
Mount the box of french fries image from the Friendly Seagulls Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the remaining, vertical white strip leaving room to cut the images out. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Put the stamped white strip on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface because the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color the french fries.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color the bun on the boxes.
Use the Dark Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends to color the hamburger patty on the boxes.
Use the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends to color the boxes.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the colored french fries boxes by hand.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out french fries boxes to the front of the card as shown.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording.
Slide one end of the cording under the cording already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot so it is centered under the base of the "T" letter cut out. Trim the ends.
