S oft and pretty friendship card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" of white leaves on shiny light green background design from Splendid Day 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" of white leaves on shiny purple background design from Splendid Day 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin white strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the small, rounded scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
As you are ready to stamp using the Framed Florets Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "so lucky to call you friend" sentiment from the Framed Florets Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip so it is close to the punched edge with the punched edge on the left side.
Slide one short edge of the thin purple foil Splendid Day Designer Paper strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the small, rounded scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Adhere the punched purple foil strip behind the stamped and punched white strip so just a tiny bit of purple foil shows along the punched left edge.
Cut an 8" piece of the Soft Sea Foam 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the right end of the stamped, punched, and layered sentiment strip using a knot so that the ribbon is about 1" from the right edge of the sentiment. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Adhere the punched, stamped, and layered sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the horizontal shiny green Splendid Day Designer Paper rectangle so the right end of the sentiment strip goes over the right edge of the designer paper just past the ribbon and is about 3/4" from the bottom edge. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the right edge of the designer paper.
Adhere the designer paper with sentiment strip attached to the center of the large Fresh Freesia rectangle and then to the front of the Soft Sea Foam card.
Mount the larger, single flower image from the Framed Florets Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad and stamp it on one end of the small Fresh Freesia strip. Leave room to stamp the smaller flower and to cut it out.
Mount the smaller, single flower image from the Framed Florets Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad and stamp it on the other end of the small Fresh Freesia strip. Leave room to cut the images out.
Pick out both matching, single flower dies from the Framed Florets Dies. Put them on top of the stamped flower images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere both flower cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the sentiment strip between the sentiment and the ribbon and overlap each other a bit.
Pick out a trinket from the Open Leaf Trinkets. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere it to the front of the card as shown so the base of trinket is tucked under the upper left side of the top most flower cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one small and two large Fresh Freesia opal rounds from the sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one large opal round to the upper left corner of the card front and the other to the center of the large flower cut out. Adhere the small opal round to the center of the small flower cut out.
