Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of Fresh Fig flowers and leaves on white background design from Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack
- 1-5/8" x 2-7/8" from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Shimmery White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 1" square from Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock
- 1" square from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 4" from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 1" x 4" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Mount the "just a note" sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Set on Block B. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the shimmery white rectangle.
Lay the sentiment stamped shimmery white rectangle on top of the Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers all of the VersaMark stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (smooth and shiny).
Tip: When heat embossing a small piece of cardstock, hold the cardstock with a clothespin to keep from burning your fingers.
Fill an Aqua Painter with water.
Squeeze the lid of the Fresh Fig Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use the Aqua Painter to squeeze a drop or two of water into the puddle of ink in the lid. Swish the water into the ink with the Aqua Painter and then paint some of the inky water onto the right side of the heat embossed sentiment rectangle. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off.
Squeeze the lid of the Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use the Aqua Painter to squeeze a drop or two of water into the puddle of ink in the lid. Swish the water into the ink with the Aqua Painter and then paint some of the inky water onto the left side of the heat embossed sentiment rectangle so it overlaps the Fresh Fig you already painted on there. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off. Dab off excess water with a clean tissue or paper towel. Set the painted sentiment rectangle aside to let it dry.
Place the piece of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper on Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Roll the Sponge Brayer across the open Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll it repeatedly onto the piece of designer paper. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the 1" x 4" piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Fresh Fig 1" x 4" strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Fresh Fig facing up).
Pick out the line of lattice work thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits. Place it on top of the cardstock on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the line of lattice work cut out. Adhere it to the right side of the altered designer paper about 1" in from the right side. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess cardstock on the top and bottom.
Adhere the designer paper to the large Fresh Fig rectangle and then to the front of the Sweet Sugarplum card.
Pick out the medium sized flower thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits Dies. Place the square of Fresh Fig Cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the medium sized flower thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the 1" square piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the 1" square of Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Sweet Sugarplum showing on top).
Pick out the small flower thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits. Place it on top of the Sweet Sugarplum square on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the small flower cut out. Adhere it to the center of the medium sized flower cut out.
If the heat embossed and watercolored sentiment rectangle is dry, adhere it to the small rectangle of Fresh Fig.
Tip: You can speed up the drying if you want using the Heat Tool.
Adhere the matted sentiment rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered and overlaps the line of lattice work cut out on the left side just a bit.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the flower to the front of the card in the lower left corner of the matted sentiment.
Carefully peel up a large rhinestone from a sheet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it in the center of the flowers.
