O ne of my customers shared this from a card making class she went to in St. Louis not sure who to give the credit to. I had to try it out.
Project Recipe
For base:
Take a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 CS
Score at 5 1/2 (hamburger side)
Cut at 4 1/4 (hotdog side)
Then trim off from edge to scoreline on the diagonal once on each sheet. SAVE THE PAPER YOU WILL USE IN ANOTHER STEP.
It will end up looking like this.
Now attach the rectangles together leaving the flaps alone for now.
You will need to take a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of DSP of your choice and cut in half on the diagonal. Now here is the tricky part. To get them to be the same print you either have to switch with your neighbor if she wants side B and you want A.
Or you can use 2 different prints
Or because one side is covered up you can trim one side to fit.
I also took my "full piece" and trimmed it down (1/8) on 2 sides with the trimmer. This is where you need to remember Geometry!
Once you have your DSP attached you can attach the flaps. REMEMBER YOU WANT A POCKET GLUE CAREFULLY. GLUE CLOSE TO THE BOTTOM EDGE.
The card for the inside of the pocket measures:
Blushing Bride- 3 3/4 x 5 1/4
Vanilla- 3/12 x 5
You may stamp the inside however you wish. I lightly stamped the big corner flowers from Climbing Roses.
From the saved pieces of Mossy Meadow. Punch Sprigs.
Stamp any words onto a scrap piece of Vanilla and punch out with Story Lable Punch
Add the sprigs to back, then add to card with Dimensionals.
You can create flowers from the Bitty Blooms punches or use the flower embellishments.
