I always tell my students, it is rare a paper crafter creates a mistake that cannot be rectified. This is true for this card. A big smear of ink almost ruined it.
Project Recipe
I had to salvage this card after I inadvertently created a mess!
First I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4" x 5 1/2".
Then I used a E clear block to create a background. I patted ink all over the block and then lightly misted it with water. The resulting image was just as I had hoped.
Next I stamped the greenery at the bottom. So far so good.
I punched out the flowers and meticulously glued each one and added added enamels dots for floral centers.
I closed the stamp pad to put it away not noticing I got ink on the side of my hand. When I reached down to pick up the piece, my inky hand brushed the cardstock right about the greenery. Yes, a large blob of ink was right where I did not want it.
It took a few minutes of trying various fixes to come up with a workable solution.
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and added the dragonfly.
Then I die cut the edges and glued it right over the big blob of ink.
Last I glued the completed piece onto a card base cut at 11" x 4 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2".
The materials I used to create this card are listed below.
